A couple albums I’ve been listening to a ton over the past several weeks; I picked them up at my previous trip to Amoeba Records. The album from Spoon is their latest, Transference, which I’ve been enjoying immensely. Budakhan Mindphone by Squarepusher came out in 1999, but I picked it up or two reasons, it’s one of the albums by him I don’t have, and the second being the song Iambic 5 Poetry is how I was introduced to Squarepusher, so it has some nostalgia attached to it. I’ve included the song below as I think it’s a perfect example of how a song can create atmosphere, and I find it’s a great song to listen to while I’m working.
